Westfield Speed Sports Car Club

Speed Series 21st Anniversary Celebration

Shelsley Walsh 23rd June 2018

It is perhaps worth reminding everyone what an important Milestone this is in the history of the Westfield Sports Car Club. The Speed Series has been ‘enjoyed’ by its many participants over its 21-year existence and notably has enabled the development of many drivers who have gone onto much higher levels in British Motorsport. It has been the envy of other motorsport clubs but more than anything, it is known among its competitors old and new for it’s hard fought competition, camaraderie, spirit and support which so becoming of the WSCC as a whole.

It is these values that we are putting on display at the Shelsley Walsh 21st Anniversary Celebration, a rare opportunity to drive the hill in an un-timed fun day and enjoy:

  • Sharing the famous Shelsley Hill with anyone connected with the WSCC old or new, experienced or inexperienced
  • Take passengers of all ages up the hill at safe and manageable un-timed speeds
  • Mingle in the paddock with Westfields of all types and performance specifications
  • Meet the Speed Series drivers, from the beginning to the present day, reliving their experiences
  • Be part of the respectable but informal Anniversary Dinner in the Courtyard Restaurant, with waitress service – there’ll even be table cloths!
  • Bring Your Own Wine (corkage charge included in the price)
  • Commemorative Prizes for those drivers who are worthy participants over 21 years of competition
  • Listen to Steve Robinson reminisce about his time as the SS Competition Secretary and present the awards to a very select group of Speed Series Drivers
  • Participate in the UK Famous Speed Series Banter
  • Meet up once again with your former adversaries of the track as well as all the mates you have made over the years of competition
  • Finish off the night either by staying on in the Courtyard Restaurant or retiring to the Orchard Area to continue the SS Banter into the wee small hours!
